A clear next step, when something feels unclear.

Upcoming shows unfinished appointments that have not ended. An appointment is not marked done automatically when its time passes. Past appointments remain under All dates or Calendar view. Choose Mark done to stop its reminders and move it to Completed. Mark upcoming restores it without changing the date.

Ahead schedules one reminder ten minutes from the moment you press Snooze. It does not change the appointment date or completion status. It postpones reminder stages through that snooze time and keeps later stages. Ahead shows the saved “Snoozed until” time after reopening. Changing this appointment’s start, completing or deleting it, or turning its alerts off clears the old snooze.

On Android, choose Stop in the alarm notification or Ahead’s alarm panel. Stop ends the current sound or vibration; it does not mark the appointment done. Tapping the notification itself also stops the alarm and opens the appointment. Snooze 10 min stops the current output and schedules another reminder. Phone volume, Silent/DND, notification settings and device power behavior can affect alerts; delivery is not guaranteed.

Choose device calendars in Ahead to import read-only copies. Ahead does not edit or delete original events. Import covers yesterday through the next 30 days by default, with an optional 90-day range. Refresh occurs when you open or foreground Ahead and when you request it. Disconnecting a calendar removes its imported copies from Ahead only.

Ahead reads calendars exposed through your device’s calendar store. Check that the account and calendar are visible in the device calendar settings, then return to Ahead and refresh. Signing in to Google, Microsoft or another provider inside Ahead is not available.

On Android, choose Scan a letter, select the letter’s language, then take or choose a photo. Recognition runs on the device. Review every field and the one-hour default duration before saving. Scanning reads the selected language; it does not translate the letter. Ahead removes its temporary image copies when processing ends or is cancelled and leaves the selected original in your photo library.

The scan language is separate from the app language. Ahead can recognize English, Swedish and Arabic text. Accuracy varies with the photo and printing; handwriting and poor images may be misread. Arabic date and time recognition is not reliable: enter those fields manually and check every extracted detail.

No Ahead account or sign-in is required. Ahead does not read SMS inboxes or scrape messages from other apps. If you choose, paste selected text into Ahead; review the extracted draft before saving it.

Choosing a suggestion is optional; typing an address while online still sends an automatic lookup after a short pause, before you choose a result. It sends the typed query to the public Photon service. Photon receives ordinary network information such as your IP address. Ahead does not send appointment titles, notes or GPS coordinates with the query. Manual entry and saved addresses work offline.

Mark done keeps the appointment in Completed and cancels its reminders. Delete appointment removes that record from Ahead. To remove all local records, open Settings → Manage local data → Clear local appointments and confirm. Clear also disconnects calendars and turns reminders off. It does not delete original calendar events. You can export a JSON backup from the app before changing phones. The export is unencrypted, so keep it somewhere private. A share or export recipient may retain its own copy.

Ahead’s Android configuration disables automatic app backups. Some phone manufacturers may still transfer app data when moving devices, so behavior can vary. Use an explicit export if you want a portable copy. Restore replaces the current agenda, disconnects calendars and turns reminders off until you set them up again.
